Between us we've stayed in hundreds of hotels and Airbnbs, and spent years building tech. Somewhere along the way we noticed the same thing everywhere we went: the best moments on a trip have nothing to do with the wifi password or figuring out how the coffee machine works.

They come from a local tip that turns into your favorite meal of the trip. A host who points you somewhere the guidebooks miss. The people you meet along the way.

That's what we want guests spending their time on, not digging through drawers for a manual or texting a host who's asleep in another timezone.

We're building Ember because in a world full of AI, we think the smartest use of it is to hand back the time and headspace it takes to have real experiences and real connections. Let the tech handle the checkout instructions and the appliance quirks. Save the human part for the humans.
